Hollyhock is a classic cottage garden favorite known for its tall, dramatic flower spikes covered in large, showy blooms. The flowers come in a wide range of colors, including pink, red, white, yellow, purple, and nearly black, creating a striking vertical display along fences, walls, and garden borders. With its towering height and old-fashioned charm, Hollyhock adds structure, elegance, and a romantic feel to any landscape.
These impressive plants bloom from the bottom up, providing a long-lasting display throughout the season. Hollyhocks are also highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, making them a valuable addition to pollinator-friendly gardens. Though they require a bit of space and support due to their height, they are easy to grow and reward gardeners with stunning, eye-catching blooms year after year.

I started the seeds in February. It took quite a while for them to germinate. Be patient, stick with them and start in Jan or Feb.
I’ve grown zinnas for a number of years. I love these flowers. They are easy to grow and look wonderful in bulk plantings.
These were nice bulbs. Perhaps a few days later than I would have preferred for our area, but that is true of most fall planted stock shipped here because we are in a small cold pocket. I don't know what they will do in the spring, but I have high hopes. Peonies do well here, and these were nice
I was very pleased with the germination rate on these seeds. I started them in a seed tray and over the summer have repotted them a couple times and they are currently in 4-inch pots. Once the heat of summer has passed I will plant them out on top of my retaining wall where hopefully they thrive and get established well by next summer.
This was my first attempt at here. I couldn't believe all of the beautiful colors and types of flowers that I had! I did try different packs of the seeds to see which I would like best. Can't wait to add to the meadow next spring. I tried to add photos but unfortunately was not successful.
